Preschool
Londonderry’s preschool program encompasses children aged 2 years 7 months through age 5.
Londonderry is truly unique in its approach to the care and development of your child. Your child will be able to socialize and engage in a safe, loving and supportive family-oriented environment, one which welcomes the participation of you, as a parent, in the classroom. Our preschool teachers follow an enriching curriculum that emphasizes hands-on play in a nurturing environment to give your child a life-long love of learning. We foster a sense of independence and curiosity through the mainstays of our program, simultaneously striving to meet the individual needs of your child. Your child will learn peaceful resolutions to conflicts within their social environment to better prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond.
Both inside of our LEED certified green school and outside on 14 acres of land, we are dedicated to strengthening your child for life. Our educators strive to address your child’s individual needs as well as the group as a whole, and the 8:1 teacher/student ratio allows our program to do this successfully.
Your child will participate in music, art and plenty of outdoor time, necessary for the well-being and stimulation of your child. From gardening to playing in the snow, using imagination has no boundaries at Londonderry. Your child will be assigned a Big Friend, as part of our Big Friend/Little Friend program, guiding your child during special school activities such as Arts Fest, International Day, Science Fair and events tailored specifically for Big Friend/Little Friends. In addition, your child will have the distinct pleasure of participating in Londonderry’s all-school annual Spring Play, held on stage at the Scottish Rite Theater.
